Cabin Getaway August 2010

It has been a busy summer for our family with jobs, grad school, fininshing the house...so I am grateful we were able to spend a few days at a cabin on a lake! My favorite were the boat rides.

I dream of having a boat someday and spending much time floating...just floating and relaxing.

The fireplace wasn't in the original plan, but we got a steal of a deal at Becker Furniture World as they were closing out several models, and now I can't imagine the room without it!

Paint and trim are almost done with carpet as the final step before move in. Then we'll have to finish a second bathroom as we have time and $.

We'll have a new family room and bedroom soon!

Halloween 2009

Darth Vader and the Black Cat

Grandma Carla and Tom came to visit on Halloween. We carved pumpkins & got all dressed up for some neighborhood trick or treating.

Owen is 6 years old, October 16th

Here he is as a newborn...he has been sweet and cuddly all six years! Love you Owen William. Happy Birthday!

Owen was recovering from the flu on his birthday, but we managed to have a little present opening party - never too sick for that!

he had been asking for it for a year - and when he opened it, he said, "I thought you said we couldn't get this?!?!??! It's so expensive!!" He was so grateful.

He has now officially become a "gamer."

GG's 80th Birthday

My Grandma Dixie Lorraine Messer turned 80 in September. The family threw her a HUGE birthday bash in Wisconsin.
